I was at Apple and trying out multicast video sending on my machine, and I turned up the TTL so it would go through more hops with the vague idea of seeing if I could get it to the UK.

It got to the uplink side of the main NZ network centre.
They had a bunch of Cisco routers that had a buggy version of multicast in the firmware that didn't suppress self sending, so the routers DDOS'd each other with my video stream.
