@never_released For others reading: if you manually enable BitLocker this doesn't happen, however. Microsoft has to backup the key so it can be automatic.
@SwiftOnSecurity Yeah. The catch is that Home SKUs only have this.
On Pro with joined to AD, Device Encryption backups the key to your domain controller instead.
