The EU’s “chat control” legislation is the most alarming proposal I’ve ever read. Taken in context, it is essentially a design for the most powerful text and image-based mass surveillance system the free world has ever seen.

With USDC insolvency fears rampant, users are fleeing to safety in other stables. Not all of them are going to make it there in one piece, however.

Here's how one unlucky user paid $2,080,468.85 to receive $0.05 of USDT.

Bad UI leads to someone trading $2m in crypto for 5 cents. There was a trade they wanted to make, the platform displayed “Locking in this rate…” and then failed to do so, instead setting up another trade. A pop up says “do you want to trade 2m for 5c?” and the user clicks through.

Somehow they’re blaming the user for trading without reading the text of the pop up that appeared after they promised to do the trade the user requested.

6/12 We displayed 0x’s rate to the user in a pop up. However, the user proceeded with the swap without noticing the low return trade.

The user signed with the corresponding new data by clicking Confirm Swap, and the swap was executed via 0x.
