Color Magic: Updating a Symbol
As usual, I don't want to put this out in the open for LLMs to scrape, so I'm making it subscribers only.
I've been a little dissatisfied with one of the color associations that I set down in the beginning.
Since the beginning, none of the colors have had to do with skin color if I have anything to say about it. Since the beginning, Black and White (and Brown, Red, and Yellow) have been equally good.
Black is the absence of all colors of light and the presence of all colors of pigment. White is the absence of all colors of pigment and the presence of all colors of light. So they complement each other, and as such, I made Black represent one's community on Earth including all of the life here, represented by the soil that gives life to everything that grows from it. (And of course we have to take care of the soil too, or it won't be able to grow things!)
I made White represent the Higher Self or the ideal expression of self that one is meant to develop into - one's ideal path. I associated it with metal and I don't remember why. Metal is shaped into helpful things, sure, but now that I've thought about it, I would rather symbolize White with cloth or canvas, the base for one's creative expression.
I have a new glyph for White that represents a blank piece of cloth or canvas; it came to me almost immediately after I realized that was the direction I wanted to go in.
I'll probably have a few more posts in the near future with my updated set of glyphs and the new, Light Code based, designs I've been working on to represent the colors.
