Moon Knight, COVID-19, and Molasses

alt text

This article about Moon Knight and the media’s general depiction of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) was really good. To me, Moon Knight is the first show that treats this subject with reverence and compassion. They show the ways that trauma can lead to compartmentalization. Spoilers for the show, obviously btw. I highly suggest checking out Moon Knight. It’s amazing.

Plus, Oscar Issac is my favorite.

Here’s a song he co-wrote for a movie a decade ago btw:

On a personal growth note, listening to songs like this would have ruined my entire day about two years ago. They’d get stuck in my head, fixated on by my ADHD, and trigger my PTSD.

It’s nice to be able to listen to more music, especially now that I’ve restarted therapy again.
