GraphQL-Ruby updates; see you at Rails World?
Hey everyone,
Have you taken Execution::Next for a spin yet? Lots of folks have tried it out and contributed improvements: features, speed-ups, and fixes. It takes some work to migrate, but the time and memory savings are huge. Also, it will be the only runtime available in GraphQL-Ruby v3.0, so you'll want to check it out soon.
AsyncDataloader has been reworked in v2.6.x. It all started with a single report of a deadlock when used with Falcon and ended in a near-total rewrite. This simple Ruby coder had a hard time landing on a sound concurrent design -- thanks to the many contributors who pitched in with bug reports, testing, and patches!
Lately, I took the new insta gem for a spin, testing a greenfield GraphQL API with it. I've been loving it, so I'm sharing my brief writeup in case you're curious.
Finally, are you going to be at Rails World later this month? I'll be there and I'd love to say hi and hear about how you're using GraphQL-Ruby. Respond to this email if you'd like to get in touch. Hope to see you there,
Robert
