Holy lotta fizz (and the garden is a wrap)

Hi friend,

It's been a busy couple of weeks around here. The laboratory ran an experiment, the garden went to bed for the year, and I got left home alone with a full pantry, which is always dangerous. Here's what's new on the blog.

Unsupervised Day at Home

Two new pop flavors, chicken and rice soup (with a jar for my sweet neighbor), soup blend put up for winter, and a pot of no-recipe chili. Nobody should leave me home alone.

Excited Puppy Brain: I Set Out to Make German Food

It's October, I'm part German, so I headed to the kitchen for something Oktoberfest-ish. Then I opened the fridge, saw cucumbers, and ended up in Asia. Plus my spiral-cut sesame garlic cucumber salad.

One More Thing

People keep asking about my gear, so it now lives in one place: my Amazon storefront, with lists for canning, the laboratory, pantry storage, kitchen gadgets, the garden, and the sewing room. Only things I actually use. Here's what I use. Take it or leave it, I'll still love you.

If you buy through my Amazon links, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That's the news from the homestead. Hit reply and tell me how your garden did this year. I read every one.
