Updates for Sunday January 16th
Church Family,
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday morning, which we are calling "Biblical Sexuality Sermon Sunday."
Why are we calling it that? There are several reasons:
We have been called to observe this Sunday (16th) as Biblical Sexuality Sermon Sunday by Canadian churches, Anchored in Truth, and many churches in the USA.
Because Canadian law, bill C-4, which was passed by the federal parliament of Canada which makes it a felony crime to try and convert anyone from homosexuality and any homosexual lifestyle.
Because Anchored in Truth leadership has asked us to do this in support of Blake Kenaum, the Canadian church pastored by Blake, and other churches in Canada
Because Blake, himself, an AIT church pastor and brother, pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Selkirk, Manitoba personally asked us to do so.
Because many US churches are doing the same, including Pastor John MacArthur and others.
We will study 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and the sermon title will be, "Human Sexuality - Do Not be Deceived."
We ask not only that you pray for Bro. Chris regarding this message, but also that you pray earnestly for Pastor Blake and all our Christian brothers in Canada who now face the very real and imminent threat of persecution as they prepare to stand firm on the Word of God and herald His truth with boldness and conviction.
Pray also for those godly Pastors throughout the United States, and around the world, who will stand in pulpits this coming Sunday, and in the future, to proclaim without compromise that there is one standard to which believers are called, the one morality that is ordained by God, and it is that which is found in the pages of the Bible.
Important Notes due to the current surge in COVID and other illnesses within our church body:
We will NOT have a nursery Sunday Morning
We ask people to socially distance Sunday Morning
We will NOT meet Sunday Evening: We have so many with sickness and we want to prevent further spread. We will re-evaluate about Wednesday and let you know something by Tuesday evening.
We hope you understand our efforts regarding these important notes. We desire more than anything for the church to meet, but people are hurting and ill and we also want to be sensitive and "neighborly" and cautious because we value your wellbeing.
In Him,
Grace Life Church of Brookhaven
