Men's Bible Study - the Gospel of Mark
Good morning, men!
I am so looking forward to digging in to the Gospel of Mark with John MacArthur - and all of you!
Because the study guide books were delayed in arriving, last evening we covered the introduction and handed out books to those in attendance.
If you'd like a book sooner than Wednesday evening, reach out to Bro. Chris, Bro. Keith, or me, and we'll do our best to get one into your hands as quickly as possible. Otherwise, please grab your copy this Wednesday evening.
The books cost $10 each, and if you are able to pay for your copy, that would be helpful and appreciated - but please know that if you are not in a position to pay, don't sweat it! Certainly don't let that stop you from getting your copy. We got you.
Now then: in preparation for next week's lesson, Lesson 1, which covers Mark 1:1 through Mark 2:28, I recommend you read those verses every day this week, and allow the Holy Spirit to drive the Word into your heart. You will notice that the study guide book contains the entire passage, printed right there within Lesson 1, with helpful notes from John MacArthur.
Here is a point of clarification: where you see questions within the lesson, sometimes you'll see a set of parentheses just above the question containing the words (Verses to consider: ...) with a list of scripture references. Please note that those verses correspond to the question posed BELOW that parenthetical entry, not the question above it. That observation might be obvious to you....but it seemed not quite obvious to me, so I thought I'd pass that along.
I pray you will dive deep into this study. I pray you'll approach it with diligence, digging in to discover what the Lord would show you, and how He wants to change you and sharpen you, for His glory.
Holler with questions, and I'll see you Sunday, Lord willing.
