October 2023 - From The River To The Sea, Palestine Will Be Free
Hello everyone,
The main thing that has been on my heart and mind this month is the ongoing genocide in Palestine. I put together some readings and resources, though they are already woefully out of date. I also think it's very much worth reading The Drift's dispatches and their interview with Rashid Khalidi, editor at Journal of Palestine Studies. You should also read the reports and dispatches from Jewish Currents. Please get connected with the organizers in your community, go out to protests, boycott and divest, disrupt the supply lines of the military industrial complex, do everything you can help end this violence and end Israel's genocidal occupation.
I only have one personal thing to promo this month. I participated in Archtober, from the Mormon arts collective the Arch-Hive. I wrote a poem a day (more or less) based on the provided prompts. I posted most of these poems on social media, but now they are all collected on a blog post.
I hope we can hold rage and grief and hope in our collective hearts and move forward into the world with them.
