Bandcamp Friday Recommendations 9/6/2024
Happy Bandcamp Friday, everyone.
Here is a new playlist, fresh out of the oven:

Some of these tracks are from more well-known artists or via other curators’ recommendations, but many of today’s tracks are from musicians who have, like, one supporter per album. As always, popularity is not necessarily an indicator of quality.
Some highlights:
J Robbins - Dear Leader — the perfect anti-Trump punk anthem that everyone needed. J released an electronic version of it a few years ago, but the full-band version released today feels particularly timely and cathartic.
Shower Beers - Feel Something — Tampa’s Shae Krispinsky has been a beloved figure in their music scene for years, but realizes something new with this indie-pop gem about personal transformation.
eastern pine - Into/From The Sea — Pittsburgh emo/post-hardcore veterans’ supergroup have a debut album out this week that simultaneously feels like 1997 but also completely fresh.
The Wolf In Our Own Backyard - Oh, The Humanity — Providence’s Kevin Gigler started out in hardcore bands, but quickly veered into alt-country after college. His prolific output is all fantastic and has a unique lived-in quality that is always comforting yet still incredibly interesting.
While shopping on Bandcamp today, remember to pick up a copy of the new New Freedom Sound LP, too!
Have a great and music-filled weekend,
Gordon
