  • United: the Hidden Story of the Humble Duplex
    Film Screening and Discussion

    Saturday, October 4th 3:00pm-5:00pm
    Columbus Main Library, Meeting Room 3A
    We'll discuss how redlining, segregation and other forces targeted this architectural icon, and how a new generation is reclaiming the duplex as a tool for growth, wealth, individuality and community development. The film’s director Anita Kwan will also join the discussion, and light refreshments will be provided.

  • Mobility Justice Advocacy Summit
    Sunday, October 5th 1:30pm-4:30pm
    Columbus Main Branch Library Auditorium


    Individuals and organizations interested in improving bicycling, mobility and equitable access to transportation are invited to attend and join a coalition focused on improving mobility for all in Columbus and beyond.

  • Yes In God’s Backyard Housing Committee Hearing
    Thursday, October 2nd 2:00pm

    The Housing, Homelessness, and Building Committee, chaired by Council President Shannon Hardin, is holding a public hearing on Thursday, October 2nd at 2pm at Corban Commons at 3426 Corban Commons Drive in Columbus. This hearing will discuss the policy Yes In God’s Backyard and potential policy proposals to advance housing opportunities on faith-owned land.

    Anyone wishing to speak at the hearing to give public comment can e-mail myself at  JNClinger@columbus.gov by October 1st at 5PM. You’re also welcome to send written comment that we will share with Council. The hearing will also be streamed on CTV.

  • Complete Streets Public Hearing
    Thursday, October 2nd 5pm

    Councilmember Lourdes Barroso de Padilla will chair a hearing to discuss changes and updates to the Complete Streets policy. Complete Streets is an approach to planning, designing, building, operating, and maintaining streets that enables safe access for all people. 

    To provide written or public testimony, please email Amaris Lemus (ASLemus@columbus.gov) with the subject: “October 2 Hearing Testimony” with your name and address by noon on October 2.

    The meeting will be live-streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and Council’s Facebook.

  • Transit Columbus Monthly Meeting
    Tuesday, October 14th 7:00pm-8:30pm
    Columbus Main Library 2A

    Join us Tuesday, October 14th from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Columbus Library downtown branch for our monthly meeting. Heads up, we’ll be in Meeting Room 2B this time.

    We'll be joined by COTA's Patrick Harris and Dorinda McCombs, COTA's new Chief LinkUS Officer. Dorinda and Patrick will discuss the ways COTA is preparing to ensure the success of LinkUS. We hope to see you there!

  • Slow Zones Traffic Calming Survey
    Slow Zones are designated areas in neighborhoods where vehicle speeds are intentionally reduced through signage, design features, or other traffic calming measures. Help shape safe driver speeds in your neighborhood and take our survey at bit.ly/3K8VxuK

  • Support queer youth experiencing homelessness
    Kaleidoscope Youth Center recently announced the closing of its housing program due to funding cuts. Donate to KYC here or donate directly to the youth that are experiencing these cuts.

  • Accessory Dwelling Unit Survey
    Share your input on ADUs in Columbus!
