Davidson Road Shared Used Path Feedback
The City of Hilliard plans to convert the existing 5-foot-wide sidewalk along Davidson Road between Raindrop Way and Trueman Boulevard into an 8-foot-wide shared-use path. The project is expected to be constructed in 2028. Any road closures necessary will occur when school is out.The new shared-use path will provide additional space for pedestrians and bicyclists and create a safer, more comfortable connection along Davidson Road. It will also connect residents to the new TruePointe development, helping create a stronger connection between the development and surrounding neighborhoods, businesses and destinations.
Take the surveyMORPC Transportation Plan Survey
MORPC is currently developing the 2028-2055 Metropolitan Transportation Plan for the Columbus Urbanized Area. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) is a long-range planning document that identifies transportation priorities, strategies, and projects over the next two decades. It is updated on a 4-year cycle. MORPC coordinates the development of the MTP with communities throughout Central Ohio and with other local, state, and federal agencies. The MTP makes the greater Columbus region eligible to receive a large amount of federal transportation funding to improve, maintain, and operate public transit, highways, bikeways, sidewalks, and related facilities. Transportation projects must be included in the MTP to be eligible to receive federal funding.MORPC has secured a $1.4 million grant from the Federal Highway Administration to improve the plan development process for the MTP, including more public engagement, improved project prioritization, and a generally more transparent process.
Public input on the goals and objectives which will drive the MTP development process is currently being solicited. Feedback on the region’s current transportation system and suggestions for the future can be submitted via the survey linked below:
