Things you can do online
Donate to Mid-Ohio Food Collective
Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP) is a national organization with chapters at medical schools across the country fighting to improve healthcare for all through single-payer reform and advocacy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels. Our local Columbus chapter is starting a “SNaHP for SNAP” campaign as the need for food has urgently increased amongst cuts to SNAP benefits during the government shutdown. Ahead of the holiday season, these cuts further exacerbate food insecurity in our communities. In conjunction with our student Pediatrics Interest Group (PIG) and Street Med—a student run organization that provides critical healthcare to those experiencing homelessness—we are running a food drive at our medical school to collect physical food as well as financial donations for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective this holiday season! Whether you can drop off a jar of peanut butter, donate $5, or donate $100, we thank you for helping us in caring for our communities!Ohio Transportation Survey
Access Ohio 2050 (AO50) is Ohio's long-range, multi-modal transportation plan, developed by the Ohio Department of Transportation, that will Guide the state’s transportation policies, Inform investment decisions, and Support the work already being done to prepare Ohio’s transportation system for the future. The AO50 project team has developed 11 Draft Strategies to advance the plan's four goals of: Safety, Preservation, Efficiency, and Mobility.
The draft strategies are high-level statements that provide direction for the plan but stop short of defining detailed action items.
