  • Support FCW and Ride Bikes

A promotional poster for "Keg Roll," a fundraising event for Franklinton Cycle Works on May 13. The poster features a cartoon beer keg riding a bike, with the text "Roll out at 6:00 PM." The route starts at FCW (897 W. Broad St.) and stops at Land Grant, Old Franklinton Post Office, and Franklinton Farms, ending at FCW Keg Tap with a farewell for Jonathan. Suggested donation is $25; registration is online via a link in the bio.

Join us for a community ride as we haul a keg of beer and a keg of non-alcoholic Hop Water from Land Grant through Franklinton. This 7–8 mile ride starts at the shop, stops at Land Grant to pick up the kegs, visits the old Franklinton Post Office, stops at Franklinton Farms Learning Garden, and finishes back at the shop to tap the kegs, celebrate, and give our founder and director Jonathan Youngman a proper sendoff. We suggest a $25 donation to keep the event accessible for all, but please give what you can. If you can’t join the ride, you can still donate to help us reach our goal. Come ride, celebrate, and support FCW!

    Register and donate here.

Things you can do online

  • Franklin County Public Needs Survey
Franklin County, Ohio is in the process of preparing the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, 2025 Annual Action Plan, and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing. (This is a good chance to provide feedback on affordable and social housing!) The Consolidated Plan governs the activities to be funded with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding, including Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) dollars for the next five years. Franklin County receives an annual allocation of CDBG, HOME, and ESG dollars as a qualified entitlement community and these funds are used to meet priority housing and community development needs in the community. The Consolidated Plan will serve as a blueprint for the expenditures of federal funds in the County from April 1, 2025, through March 30, 2031.

  • Access Ohio 2050 Transportation Survey
Access Ohio 2050 is the Ohio's long-range, multi-modal transportation plan, developed by the Ohio Department of Transportation, that will guide the state’s transportation policies and investments for the next 25 years.

Complete the survey and share your support for expanding passenger rail and multimodal transportation across Ohio. Your feedback will help guide the state’s transportation priorities. Shout out to All Aboard Ohio for their work promoting this and encouraging expansion of multimodal transportation.

Save the date (May 12th) for an upcoming public meeting in Columbus.

  • West Case Branch Community Input
Columbus Public Library is adding a new library at the old OSU sheep farm in NW Columbus and is seeking public feedback in an online survey.

  • Help Shape the Future of SR-161!

Zone In Columbus is updating the zoning map along SR-161/E. Dublin-Granville Road in Northland to support smart growth, create walkable communities, and expand opportunities for new housing and small businesses. This update will introduce modern zoning regulations that reflect community needs while establishing a fair, predictable, and accessible process for all.

We value your input. Explore the proposal and share your feedback to help shape the future of the SR-161 corridor. (Survey available 3/11 - 5/10)
