• Kingston’s mentoring programme bridges the gap for local architecture students 05 August 2026 Regeneration Now in its second year, the scheme introduces local university students to the complex world of local authority design review, helping them build critical career skills while shaping the future of the borough.
• The mentoring initiative is run through the Kingston Placemaking Panel, an independent panel managed by not-for-profit organisation Design South East (DSE) on behalf of Kingston Council.
• A total of 18 architecture and landscape students from Kingston University's School of Architecture and Landscape were selected for the learning and mentoring programme, offering them the opportunity to pull back the curtain on live planning proposals.
