I (Probly) Got The 'Rona
Hi! Apologies for the lateness on this Glitchet. I have a presumed case of COVID-19, which I'll talk about briefly here and then dump some art because doing basic tasks has been difficult.

COVID-19 Story Time
Symptoms started presenting around June 2nd, where upon waking from a nap I was still exhausted with a mild headache, then went back to sleep only to realize I slept for 16 hours even though I'd already slept plenty the day prior. Upon waking, hit with extreme fatigue, headaches, fogginess/difficulty keeping track of basic tasks, and a lower back muscle ache so bad it hurt to stand up from sitting. No fever, and oxygen levels normal (measured with an oxy pulse meter).
I can only assume I got it from my mom, who came over for mother's day on the 11th and wasn't fully social distancing due to her work. She started presenting a bevvy of the typical COVID-19 symptoms a few days before I did. She got tested recently and the results came back negative, but she says they didn't actually stick the swab all the way back down her nose, just had her blow her nose and then swabbed in her nostrils. These tests have a known false negative rate of 30% or higher in some cases.
Roughly 9 days later, the worst of the symptoms have passed but headaches and an overriding sense of fatigue and malaise persists. A new joy I've experienced is seeming to only be able to sleep in roughly 3-5 hour increments, which makes me feel like a zombie. I'm getting tested in about one and a half hours (hey, is it weird to suddenly have the sense of action happening elsewhere as you read suddenly superimposed into your consciousness? I dunno, also an aside here is that one "positive" effect is that feeling this way makes me extremely rambly and associative in ways I can't entirely help sometimes), and I expect to test positive if they apply the test correctly. Even if it's negative, I'm assuming I have COVID-19 because these symptoms in absentia of fever or respiratory ailments are unlike anything I've experienced but accord/concord with COVID-19's seemingly neverending symptom list.
Besides being wackadoodle, I'm doing OK. Consuming a lot of zombie content and trying to rest as much as possible. Honestly, I'm just glad I'm unemployed at the moment. This thing sucks.

OH WAIT, one more thing. You may have seen some news going around about how the WHO said that asymptomatic transmission is very rare. This is overly pedantic scientific pondering turned misreported misinformation. When the WHO says that asymptomatic transmission is rare, they do NOT mean presymptomatic. Asymptomatic transmission means transmission when no symptoms EVER appear. Presymptomatic means transmission before ANY symptoms appear, which include something as mild as a cough or low fever.
If it were really true that both asymptomatic transmission AND presymptomatic transmission were rare, then we wouldn't be in the situation we're in now. 🎤⬇️
