Upcoming Events

Bar Night

As always, our bar night is running on Wednesday, 5th of November, at Game Over on Drury Street (G2 5AA) from 7pm till 11:30pm(ish). This time we have DISCOUNT VOUCHERS for Luke & Jack which get you 15% most products, but the promotion is only running from the Wednesday until Sunday 9th of November so get there quick. You’ll be able to pick one up at the door. Otherwise, business as usual: bootblacking, making out, arm wrestling presumably.

History Presentation & Social

We’ll be running a leatherdyke history presentation on Wednesday, 19th November, at Adrian’s on Victoria Road (G42 8RW). We’ll be doing a social space with some shared bootblacking equipment as well, if you missed out on that last time and want to try bootblacking or just hang out in a calmer environment than the full dyke nights. The space is running from 7pm and the presentation starts at 7:30pm.

“This is an absolutely beautiful photo collection of Christopher’s work from the late 80s to early 2000s in the San-Fran (leather)dyke scene. She first showed her erotic photography at Stormy Leather and the collection has a wonderful mix of sex, leather, leathersex, piss and politics in it that I find deeply inspirational. I’m sorry my camera skills aren’t up to making you all look this hot!”

Blog

The bootblacking circle seemed to be a success! We’ve got an event booked in at Adrian’s on the 17th of December as a last one to round out the year, so we’ll be doing things bi-monthly for the rest of 2025 at least and then assess soon for 2026. We also had a great time at SQIFF; huge thanks to the team for getting Bootblack Rowan out to infodump about leatherdyke semiotics and abolishing the family. Would highly recommend watching The Backstreet (2024, dir. Romain Beck) if there are any other showings going for it.

Regarding other projects, we’re currently working on a collection of (very) short essays from the members of the admin team, to be published in the first few months of 2026. ANTI-PROTOCOL is still in the works with some forward progress made from last time (though entirely on Bootblack Rowan’s end). UNTITLED LEATHERSEX TRIPTYCH is out of the draft stage and will be printed as soon as I learn how typesetting works! God have mercy.
