Paula The Possum's Water Tower Demo at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2025
Hey everyone, it’s me, Vivian! It’s been almost a year since I last wrote a newsletter e-mail.
Today I’m happy to tell you we’ve been working on a demo to show off at the PIGSquad Booth (Number 1004) at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo on Sunday! It’s even got a name: “Water Tower” and I got some screenshots to share with you all!
And as a little newsletter secret, a small peek behind the curtain, here’s a mock trailer I put together a month ago to get a feel for how the game markets itself. Feel free to respond to this e-mail with your thoughts!
There are definitely major differences between this and the current version of the Water Tower Demo.
So what can you expect when you play the new demo?
Tutorial! We’re including one to make it easier to get started playing the game!
Story! The demo will be a snippet of what a mid-game Paula adventure would be!
Combat! We have enemies to fight! Attacks to do!
Exploration! We have been hard at work making places for you to visit and scavenge!
Overall, I’m really excited to show off this demo! We wanted to make sure its enough of an experience that I can be mostly hands-off and let you figure out the game yourself, while playing a snippet of the full game. It’s been an incredible journey and I’m so happy with where we’re at.
