Gil's Week #202027
This week I…
- Wrote 2 blog posts:
-
Gil’s blog about code, technology, and leadership – Moving to Doom Emacs
Why I moved from neovim to doom emacs as my main code editor
-
Gil’s blog about code, technology, and leadership – Scalability? You ain’t gonna need it
Why scalability should not be a concern when starting a project
- Got back to work, felt a little bit all over the place and couldn’t finish what I wanted, but I still felt that I accomplished plenty.
- I got some Bokashi composter bins as an upgrade to my plastic bin that has no draining holes, I am midly excited by them :).
- I played a bit of Dota 2, but it’s too many new mechanics to learn, and I want to get off my LoL habit, so, unhealthy, I am still playing Red Dead Redemption 2 slowly on Chapter 2 which is good for relaxing.
- I am still doing my kettlebell routine but I stopped with swings and squats because one of my feet is hurting, and from what I checked on the internet (I know I shouldn’t do it but I also don’t want to go to the GP right now) it looks like it’s mild plantar fasciitis. So far so good, it’s slowly getting better.
Sound of the week
- The Hobbit soundtrack because I started re-watching the hobbit movies this week
Great URLs
- Mastering JQ part 1, I don’t know if this will actually make me finally master jq, because I need to check the docs every time I use it.
- How to make decisions, I found this article very interesting. Are you spending too much time making decisions that aren’t worth it? I like to think that I follow the advice on it, but it’s probably not true for all of my decisions.
Cheers,
Gil
