Gil's Week #202022
This week I…
- Didn’t work on Monday, since it was a bank holiday, I took a long walk outside to get out of the house and move my legs.
- The week felt quite packed even thought it was only 4 days, I was as tired as a normal week, I guess I need a holiday…
- Started reviewing a book, more info on this later ;)
- Used more emacs, I’m now at a point where I’m very comfortable with it, but I still need to fix my font, ligatures aren’t working :(.
- Haven’t changed much my information database (read: my wiki), but I have subscribed to a few blogs on newsblur and I’m actively avoiding checking hackernews and twitter.
- watched a few emacs videos and articles, it’s very addictive, much more than vim plugins, I guess because I tried to keep it as lean as possible (I say that, but I have more than 20 plugins in my config)
Sound of the week
Great URLs
- This video resonates with my note taking quest
- I love Makefiles, but I didn’t know you could use different “shells” inside them.
- Be careful with your pyc files, they can contain secrets keys that are easily reverse engineered.
Cheers,
Gil
