[028] Hueveando: A Week Walking In Parque Nacional Patagonia (Film)
I'm travelling in South America. Here's what I'm up to, some photos and other bits
Over the new year I returned to Parque Nacional Patagonia to walk with my Chilean friends. It was the park where we met two years ago, and one of my favourite places I visited in South America, so their invitation was too good to turn down.
I’ve made a short film documenting our week in the park, which you can watch here:
I wanted the film to showcase the landscape of the park, capture the companionship we felt on the trail, and hear from my Chilean friends about why they value national parks in their country.
The film is called ‘Hueveando’, which is Chilean slang that can mean many things, but primarily refers to the action of fooling around and wasting time. This is a nod to the idea that unproductive behaviour - walking, stinking, with a heavy backpack, just for the sake of walking - can lead to some of our most treasured memories and special relationships.
I hope you enjoy the film.
