Millennial + Zoomer Dialogues: Thursday 7:30pm
Hello from the sterile Generate Leadership Bunker buried 100 feet below Tompkins Square Park!
Generate, the monthly intergenerational drinking club, will meet as scheduled this Thursday. Can’t think of a better time for the young and old to stay talking to each other. But it will, of course, move where everything else in our tangible lives has moved: to a conference call on Zoom.
Lynn has a Supercharged Premium 3000 Zoom account for her work as a therapist, so we've got all the features and doohickeys we need, and no time limit to worry about.
Since online meetings can get quite exhausting and chaotic we’re going to aim to keep this one around an hour instead of our usual two. That said, we might have a bit of a delayed start as we figure out the new platform and wrestle away connection issues and unmuted microphones early on.
Come, drink, talk, relax, think. Friends welcome, though this will certainly be different than when it's in Lynn's apartment. If you're socially isolating with anyone, have them join in!

Last month’s topic of sexual liberation was so lively there was a consensus we should extend the topic to this month. Then the Plague hit.
So! There’s no explicit topic this week. We'll acknlowledge the suddenly strange state of the world but also distract from it. We'll maybe touch more on sexual liberation, stirred gently with our newfound social isolation imprisonment.
Think of it as a virtual happy hour with thoughtful discussion. You will have to bring your own cheese, wine, and sake (and please do).
If you're new to Zoom, you might want to test it out before Thursday. Zoom runs a 24/7 empty meeting room you can use just for that, like a hotline of silence:
