Singapore FinTech Festival 2024: A Marathon of Meetings
The Singapore FinTech Festival was a sprawling affair this year, spreading across six massive halls. Just navigating from one end to another became a 10-minute journey - quite the workout between meetings! The usual suspects dominated the conversations: cross-border payments taking centre stage, with crypto enthusiasts holding their ground and AI buzzwords floating everywhere. Compared to Hong Kong's recent fintech gathering, the energy felt somewhat different.
A Swiss Pitch with a Twist
During a brief respite for my tired feet, I had an amusing encounter at one of the tables. My neighbour, pitching a generative AI solution for banks, led with what might be the most Swiss value proposition I've heard: "It's safe because we're based in Switzerland." Well, that's one way to approach compliance!
Client Connections
The highlight was catching up with our clients, who continue to push boundaries in fascinating ways. More on their innovations in upcoming updates.
