Hong Kong Fintech Week 2024 Preview and a Critical Take on AI Hype
Dear subscribers,
Welcome to the second instalment of my newsletter. AI keeps heating up and dominating online and offline conversations while the countermovement is gaining traction. But let's talk first about my visit to the Hong Kong Fintech Festival 2024.
Hong Kong Fintech Week

As Head of Fintech for SmartDev, I will join Alex Lang, our CEO, and Wong Shao Yu, our Singapore-based BDM. Happy to meet, and a link on the page to book a meeting.

While hyping it up, we are building new nuclear power to train the AI and hope it will solve the climate crisis. Yes, folks, let's explain this dichotomy…
