Your free monthly roundup of gardening events, plant sales and green community projects, happening in Prince Edward County and the surrounding areas.

Note from sender
Hello, again.
It’s not yet the end of January, but there are a few updates to share since the last newsletter went out, namely: one date correction, one apology, and four new events.
My intention is still to make this a monthly newsletter, although fortnightly might be more appropriate during busy months such as this one. We shall see.
❗️ Date Correction
Stirling Garden Club’s “Tips and Tricks of Backyard Feeding – How to make your yard a haven for the birds!” event will be held on January 20th (not the 10th, as stated in the previous newsletter).
🕰️ Now’s The Time
…to start planning!
‘Tis the season for browsing seed catalogues, making lists and gazing wistfully out at the snow.
There’s still time to grab free native seeds from the Wildflower Seed Library
Order native plant plugs from Milford’s Dropseed Nursery (pickup in May)
Check out the epic list of seed sellers recommended by Vicki’s Veggies (also in Milford)
Figure out what should go where, and when, with The Old Farmer’s Almanac Planting Calendar (free) and Garden Planner (not free)
📆 What’s Happening This Month (part 2)

An Apology
A few subscribers may have accidentally received two or possibly three copies of the earlier January newsletter. Please accept my apologies for spamming your inbox.
The excitable email system responsible for this mistake has been spoken to, and you should now receive just one copy of each email in future.
🤩 Cool Find of the Month
Pot Lifters, available from Sun Worshipper Succulents in Belleville: a cute solution to the difficulties of getting small houseplant pots out of larger decorative containers.

If you found this newsletter useful, please share it with anyone else you think will enjoy it too! And don’t forget to subscribe to be notified of what’s happening next month.
