Hello, friends!

I’ll be at ALA and (briefly) Children’s Institute this weekend! It’s going to be an amazing time with incredible people!! Continuing a tradition of hand-drawing my event schedules, because:

(1) I am a cartoonist through and through, so I like making a little extra work for myself.

(2) when I do in-person events, I want to emphasize that people make books. I’m not a brand. I’m not content. I’m a person just like you, and you can make things too.

(3) every time I encounter a computer-generated slop image I become a little more determined to MAKE THINGS.

and of course, (4), it’s fun!
