Claude 3.5 Sonnet Released
Anthropic has unveiled Claude 3.5 Sonnet, setting new benchmarks in AI performance. This model outperforms competitors like GPT-4o across various metrics, including graduate-level reasoning, undergraduate knowledge, and coding proficiency. Operating at twice the speed of its predecessor, Claude 3.5 Sonnet offers improved understanding of nuance and complex instructions. Priced competitively at \$3 per million input tokens and \$15 per million output tokens, it features a 200K token context window. The release also introduces "Artifacts," a new feature on Claude.ai for real-time AI-powered collaboration. While representing a significant advancement in AI capabilities, Claude 3.5 Sonnet is positioned as an incremental improvement rather than a revolutionary shift in large language model technology.
