💻 Portals

A network of pseudo-portals spreading Russian propaganda and aiming to undermine trust in institutions has been uncovered by the National Security Agency. The network allegedly reshaped narratives on current events and incited ethnic and national hatred. Separately, five doctors from the Bitola Clinical Hospital have been indicted for allegedly negligent treatment that led to the death of a patient from thrombosis in 2024. In other domestic news, Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari reconvened the working group for the Electoral Code, but the absence of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (LSDM) is proving to be an obstacle. On a positive note, the European Union has committed 150 million euros for a railway project connecting to Bulgaria, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski in Brussels to discuss this and other major infrastructure projects. Meanwhile, machinery at a new stadium construction site in Haračina was damaged and burned.
