The Campbell Pool Will Reopen - Now Let’s Help Shape What Comes Next
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the future of the Campbell Community Center Pool.
We had another community meeting on Monday, August 24, with a great turnout from residents who came to learn more, walk the existing pool area, and share ideas about what a future aquatic center could look like.
There is also encouraging news from Campbell Councilmember Sergio Lopez.
Councilmember Lopez told Friends of the Campbell Pool that the City is committed to reopening the pool. He explained that years of repairs and patching are no longer the best long-term solution and that the facility needs to be substantially redone.
Importantly, he also confirmed that funding for redoing the pool is included in the City's capital budget. The primary challenge now is the time required to plan and complete a complex public construction project.
That means our community has an important opportunity right now:
What should the next Campbell pool look like, and how should our community use it?
We’ve launched the first version of:
The site will become a community hub where residents can follow the project, share ideas, learn about possible pool features and programs, and connect with other supporters.

The City will continue gathering community input about the future aquatic center.
Whether your priorities are lap swimming, swim lessons, senior fitness, therapy, youth swim teams, recreation, water safety, or simply having a community gathering place again, this is the time to participate.
The pool is coming back. Now let’s help Campbell build the right one.
