Friday's bookclub
Dearest Friends,
You are kindly invited to the next Book Club meeting this Friday, August 20th at 8pm Paris time, 2 pm New York time. (Bernard will host).
We enjoy each others’ presence and welcome newcomers warmly. We start off by sharing our thoughts and reactions to a quote provided. Then we allow whatever comes up to come up.
The text for this week’s meeting is from The Escape To Everywhere by Paul Hedderman:
‘ A sense of HERE provides an immunity to the “mental here”. You don’t get rid of the self. Because it was never there. You sense the appearance of a mental construct called selfing. But self was never there. There is no self. No reason to get rid of it. That’s the solution! The selfing infers, assumes, implies and swears. All empty pointing to “the imagined one.” The mind through identification leaps from the pointing to the pointed. The bondage of self.’
