Book Club: Friday May 7th, 8pm Paris Time

Book Club is on Friday, May 7th 8pm Paris time.

We enjoy each others' presence and welcome newcomers warmly, as we share out thoughts and reactions to the following quote.

Everybody feels that there is one world, in spite of the fact that that single world appears to them as a multiplicity and diversity of objects. If our only knowledge of the world is a multiplicity and diversity of objects, how come we all feel that it is one world? How come we all feel it is the same world that we are experiencing, even though each of us only knows the world through our private perceptions?

Our perceptions are never shared. None of you can see what I am seeing, and none of us can see what each of you are seeing. Our perceptions are private, and yet we feel deeply that the world we experience is shared. There is some truth in that belief, but what each of our private perceptions share is not the world - it is Consciousness.

Each of our perceptions, each of our private perceptions, is appearing in the same shared Consciousness. It is only when we overlook the presence of our shared Consciousness that, thought projects the sameness of Consciousness onto the world and believes, as a result, that it is the same world we are experiencing. No, it is the same Consciousness that we are experiencing.
