I am the kwisatz haderach of laserin' stuff 🪱
Hello! Lately I've been thinking a lot about how some things involve lasers and some don't. Do you ever think about that?
Small Things
I've upgraded my friend Joe's bird website! Check it his neat photos at Joe's Birds.
I been replaying Pokemon Blue and I've noticed that the game implies some weird stuff. Like that Salmon exists in this world (but isn't a Pokemon?). And that Lt. Surge used electric Pokemon on humans during a war. Weird.
Look at this cool open source, desktop pick and place machine that helps people automate making circuits boards.
Some tools I use to help me make laser-cut stuff:
Boxes.py - Tons of box generators!
single-stroke-font text - Generates text that uses single-stroke fonts. Easier to score!

The Escalation of Lasers
I bought a laser for my home. A home laser. It's an xTool S1 40W Diode laser and it's pretty dang neat! The home laser is less powerful but more modern than the laser I was using at Made, and that means I got a lot of new stuff to learn. I've been dialing in settings for different materials, improving my CAD skills in OnShape, and learning about different adhesives and sealants.
There's been a lot of laserin' in my life lately, so here's a ton of photos:

The Deescalation of Everything Else

In conclusion,
How are you doing? What's new in your life? Do you have any questions about anything I put in this email? Got anything you'd like me to write a bit about?
See you when you I see you!
