Omicron for Christmas?
Seasons Greetings! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and unless the UK closes its borders I am heading off to London for Christmas with part of my family. (The other part is in the middle of a big move out of California.) I think I'll send one of these next week and then take some time off to quit looking at the news. Hope you are all well, happy and safe.
As for me, I'm doing more landscaping in my backyard as that it the view I look at most often these days.:-) I'm not complaining. In fact, I feel lucky.
There are two different pandemics going on. The one in developed countries with vaccines is totally different from what is happening in South Africa, where only 25% of the people are vaccinated. Nobody is having babies. This is a far cry from what was predicted when I was young, when we thought earth would be overpopulated. However, if I were a young person, I don't know if I would want to bring a child into such a dangerous world.

I like the fact that Dorsey changed the name to Block, because as you may already know, I'm big into blockchain! The company was named for its little white plastic reader, and now it is so much more.

There have been many of these affordable housing schemes, and they all seem to involve the developer getting rich. But if developers aren't incentivized, there will not be any housing at all, and Phoenix already looks like a campground in many areas. The housing situation all over the country is getting more and more dire.

I don't understand this. Don't people see that if they don't get vaccinated the virus keeps mutating? And if it keeps mutating ANYTHING can happen? This isn't a question of anyone's body, it's a question of risk for the entire global population. We have literally lost millions of people to this pandemic.
