Four Things – May 2026
Consciousness. The Book. Woolloomooloo. 41%.
1 / Reading
Been thinking about consciousness of late. I read David Lynch's Catching the Big Fish, which had a few marginalia-worthy morsels, and this essay on the 'hard problem of consciousness' from Carlo Rovelli. (Recommend Rovelli's book The Order of Time).
Also enjoyed this reflection from John Krakauer on his decision to climb Mount Everest and write about it.
2 / Building
Completed the first round of edits to the book manuscript. Feels great to be deleting chapters and refining the language—much more enjoyable than the drafting stage.
I hear fewer people read nowadays.
So, I’ve started brainstorming an accompanying, password-protected website to host audiovisual content, some immersive linkages across ideas and events, video AMAs, some Easter eggs for the crypto curious, and more.
Stay tuned!
3 / Listening
Dave DK – Woolloomooloo. Unexpectedly moving video.
