[+] FINAL BETA ISSUE
This is the beta of foofaraw[+], the temporary home of something new.
Thanks for coming along for the ride, let me know what you think and if you have any ideas for how it can be improved.

This is going to be the final e-mail from this list as [+] is officially launching next week within the main foofaraw newsletter. (There are a lot of little details to sort through here, so feel free to just hit me up if you want).
foofaraw[+] is going to be $40/yr or $4/mo (still working through how to make both of those visible through Buttondown/Stripe…) and it will launch with only two [+] issues a week. If there are enough subscribers I will up that to three and maybe even a fourth over the weekend. I want to ensure I can stay consistent with the delivery given it'll be a pretty small audience to start.
I’m going to be offering a two week only code for $5 off annual plans to all subscribers on Monday, but if you are reading this, I’ve got a steeper discount for you.
You can get three months free by using promo code: xxxREDACTEDxxx or just reply to this e-mail and I’ll gift it through Buttondown’s dashboard (if you are reading through RSS, e-mail me at foofaraw [at] tiv [dot] today).
After that, you can use xxxREDACTEDxxx to get $10 off the annual plan forever.
I’m honestly not sure how Stripe/Buttondown will handle those in conjunction with each other… so you may end up having to unsubscribe/resubscribe… I hope that's not the case though...

Michael Walsh Resurrects Universal Monsters: Frankenstein
Michael Walsh (The Silver Coin) to write and draw the new Frankenstein comic for Skybound/Universal. Huuuge news.
The Silver Coin was my first real introduction to Michael Walsh and it’s such a delightful concept and execution that I cannot wait to see how he follows James Tynion IV and Watters/Ram V in the Universal world.

Been Stellar Announce Debut Album 'Scream From New York, NY'
Saw this pass in one of my feeds and looked them up purely based on the delightful name.
It’s indie/alternative rock that is right in my alley so I’m now stoked to see what a debut album from them looks like.
Just in time for the Oscars. Stream Poor Things on Hulu March 7th
I still haven’t seen this, so I am only including this as a reminder to myself to make sure to watch this when it hit Hulu.
Emily Blunt in Talks to Join Dwayne Johnson in A24’s ‘The Smashing Machine’
“In talks” isn’t really something I’d normally include here, but I wanted to touch on the fact the Rock has an A24 movie in the works.
The Rock has become one of the stalest actors in Hollywood, always playing it safe—often even playing roles that are quite similar in movies that are quite similar.
I’ll be very curious to see if he takes a swing with this or if he manages to fall into the same rocky pattern.
girl in red - I'm Sorry...
This is just hilarious.
