Mouth of Gravel | Poem

Political Cognitive Dissonance

Mouth of Gravel

Pink full moon behind dark clouds

Sharpened words travelling through a jagged smile. Charring ashes left by charming lashes.

Hardened lords unraveling in – to a ragged pile.
Against the sounds, with rhythm, distinct.
Its conciseness and spiking peaks.
Piercing bruised ears, left behind
by their heavy-handed arguments.
&
Forever synced –
a consciousness.
Makes concessions to what I think.
Stations, and bonds,
to steer the fused gears.
Like the justice they augment.

The controlled masses,
against burning flashes.
Grew nearer as they rile.
Sparring clashes
with not one left.
But pardoned hordes, collaborating –
The scene, starring fascists,
That push – foreseen and vile.
