What we do a little differently with our next shows.

Hey there,
This email looks different, right? We got a new email system.
It is like new shoes: we love the look, but we’re also still figuring out how to walk in them ;)
In this email, we want to update you on what we do a little differently with the upcoming shows. And we update you on the workshops, and new accommodation packages of the Flock Festival.
The festival shows (and what is different)
For the Flock Festival, we do a few things like we always do with Flock. We will organize unscripted theatre shows, with a great cast, a compelling story, and have nice drinks and talks at the bar.
But many things are different during the Flock Festival. Like these things:
We have programmed 3 (!) shows per night, for 7 (!) nights in a row. If you get yourself a festival pass, you can see a whopping 21 (!) shows.
We are bringing back the most popular Flock productions The Matrix, Transperceneige and The True North. This time however, performed by our international guests. It is a reprise, but it is also completely different.
The festival will close with a brand-new production: Improvised Molière. We told Gael he is nuts for creating a new show, while also being artistic director. But he is just too enthusiastic about bringing a French comedy to the stage.
The festival combines all types of improv performers:
international superstar performers, like Inbal Lori, Chris Mead and Billy Kissa;
Flock Theatre students, like the absolute Beginners, the Maestro contestants, and the Storytellers;
famous teachers from all over the world, like Stacey Hallal, Jim Fishwick and David Moncada;
national talents, like Jeroen du Chatinier, Kiki Hohnen and Guido Boogaard;
selected ensemble players from everywhere, like Delia Riciu, Kathy Tanner and Kim Thanh Lê;
European groups we admire, like SuperCut and Bemme & Melange;
festival workshop participants, like… you?
These people will be on stage in 1 of the 21 shows. At Flock, we love making every type of improviser look good. You should definitely come to see them.

Book your accommodation per night

We added a new option: book accommodation for the festival per night. Prices start at € 55/night (which is unheard of for Amsterdam accommodation in summer).
The Amsterdam Farm Lodge is in a luscious green and quiet area, and it is where most players and visitors will be hosted.
Every apartment has:
2 or 3 bedrooms (some solo, some multi-bed)
a bathroom
a separate toilet
a living room
a dining room
a kitchen
See how the rooms look in this post.
You can book 1 or more nights in a multi-room (with only Flock Festival people) for €55/night, or in a solo-room for €100/night.
☀️
We hope to see at a workshop or a show.
Or 2.
Or 21.
