A tiny 2025 overview & all January shows
Here is a clue for the surprise & quotes without context
Hey there,
We are starting the year afresh ❄️ (Or is it the snowy cold? 😉)
Below, I share with you which shows are coming up. And what will happen in them.
Just for fun, I also made you a tiny 2025 overview of the Flock Theatre year, using only newsletter quotes. ⤵️
And at the bottom, a last nudge to join a class. If you’ve been considering a course, maybe take a trial lesson this week? 👬🏻
All January shows
Special international guests & a clue for the surprise

Every Thursday evening, we turn our studio into a tiny theatre. We prepare the comfy seats, we pour the tasty drinks, and for 75 minutes we make magic happen on stage.
These shows are coming up:
Thu 15 Jan 💭 Laura & Gael Special
The Flock co-founders are back, inspired by their trip to a big Chinese improv festival. They are joined on stage by American duo Impromptwo. Four absolute genre nerds in one show.
Sat 17 Jan 🌍 For One Night Only
A special show on the weekend, with international guest Ramsi Lehner from Egypt. He brings a beautiful playing style: we love his patient storytelling and captivating acting.
Thu 22 Jan 🎞️ One Story
The Flock Company Players improvise a play that tells 1 single story. Three acts, no secret structure. Feel-good theatre at its most impressive.
Thu 29 Jan 🎁 What Impro
Our risky but exciting show format. The cast will hear on stage what type of show has been designed for them. And then they immediately play.
Here is what show designer Mash has in mind:

A tiny 2025 overview in random quotes
Using just quotes from our 2025 newsletters. No context. (But if you really want to know, here is the archive.)
And yes, it seems I enjoy using brackets and hyphens. 😉
“It has been terrific. Not (just) our words.”
“Are we the type of company that records the shows, rewatches them, and then (after some squealing) works on our skills to improve?”
“And the word is spreading.”
“Did we hit our KPIs? Yes, we did!”

“It is like new shoes: we love the look, but we’re also still figuring out how to walk in them.”
“Are you the type of person who counts down the days?”
“How to —barely— stay sane in the months-long darkness.”
“Do you love new things? We do. (Probably no surprise)”
“Now with more flaming hearts by our side.”
“When things feel challenging-amazing-but-mostly-hard, I remind myself: go big or go home. And for now, we're not going home.”
