Some workshops ideas 🍌 | Shorter accommodation packages 🐓
Sticky notes, comedy gold and 3-, 5-, and 7-day packages

Hey there,
Sure, sure, I am probably biased, because I am a big fan of all of our teachers.
But how do some of these workshops still have spots? I mean…
Thoughtful improv with the head of the Vietnam Improv Festival? 💭
Singing with Katy Schutte? 🎶
A skill useful for comedy and horror? 🍌 😱
How to be funny with a hilarious comedian? 😂

Finding (and Playing) The Game | 1-day workshop

Ever wonder why some scenes have the audience in stitches? It’s all about ‘finding the game’ and heightening the funny.
In this full-day workshop, you’ll learn to recognize what’s funny, understand why it works, and build on it for maximum comedic effect.
Simple tools, big laughs, unforgettable scenes.
Thursday June 26 — 10:00 to 16:00
Dramatically Ironic! | half-day workshop

The audience sees it first: a hidden bomb, a lover in the closet, a banana peel. Dramatic irony plays with this gap: what some know, others don’t.
In this afternoon workshop, you’ll learn simple techniques to create that tension on purpose. The result? Scenes the audience absolutely loves to watch.
Saturday June 28 — 13:30 to 16:00

In this morning workshop, the ‘Bat’ format goes musical, and intergalactic.
Inspired by Joe Bill’s show told entirely in the dark, Katy guides you through creating sweeping space operas and concept album stories using only sound.
With live musical support, we’ll sing and imagine vast stories set in the stars.
Sunday June 29 — 10:00 to 12:30
Culturally Proud | 1-day workshop

We’re all made of stories: some big, some small, all worth sharing. In this playful and thoughtful workshop, you’ll explore how your cultural identity, personal quirks, and life experiences can bring depth, joy, and surprise to your improv.
Expect scene work, sticky notes, and maybe a metaphor about Lego zebras.
Let’s turn what makes you you into something unforgettable on stage.☀️
Sunday June 29 — 10:00 to 16:00

P.S.
Want to come alone? We have you covered!
Right next to the theatre, there will be a lovely festival lounge to meet friendly improvisers, to play a game, or to draw/sit/read/knit.
And because we love a good hang after the show, there’ll be post-show afterparties to chat, dance, or just soak up the joy.
