Helium 10 Platinum vs Diamond: Why Serious Sellers Skip the Cheaper Plan

Disclosure: I'm an official Helium 10 affiliate. If you sign up through my links, I get paid, and you pay nothing extra. Everything below is based on the pricing and feature details I could verify, and where independent sources disagree, I say so.

The short answer

If you want to test the waters, Platinum works. If you want results from Amazon, Diamond is the plan I'd put my money on.

Platinum looks like the safe choice because the price tag is smaller. But a price tag only tells you what you pay, not what you get back. The question that matters is which plan lets you do the most with the money you spend, and that is where the two plans separate.

What each plan costs right now

Helium 10 sells two standard plans, and the Starter plan is gone. The numbers below come from Helium 10's own pricing page as captured by independent reviewers in October 2026. Check the live page before you buy, since prices move.

  • Platinum: $99 a month billed yearly, or $129 month to month.
  • Diamond: $279 a month billed yearly, or $359 month to month.

Helium 10 also ties each plan to a sales band. Platinum is aimed at sellers making up to about $100K a year. Diamond is aimed at businesses between $100K and $10M a year.

Notice what that says. Platinum is built for the beginning of the road. Diamond is built for where you are trying to go.

Where Platinum starts to run out of room

I'm not going to pretend Platinum is bad. It gives you the core toolkit, and plenty of sellers get their first products off the ground with it. But the limits show up fast once you start working like a seller who expects results.

  • Keyword research is capped. Independent reviewers list Platinum at around 100 keyword searches a month, while Diamond shows no such cap. If you've ever researched a niche properly, you know 100 searches disappears in a couple of sessions. Research is the part of the business where more digging usually means better decisions.
  • Rank tracking is limited or missing. Reviewers who captured the pricing table report no rank tracking on Platinum and a large tracking allowance on Diamond. Knowing where your listing ranks for the keywords that pay you is not a luxury. It tells you whether your work is working.
  • One user and two Seller Central accounts. Platinum gives you one seat and two connected accounts. Diamond reportedly gives you five extra users and up to ten connected accounts. The moment you hire a VA or bring in a partner, that matters.
  • The AI tools are not on Platinum. More on this below, because it is the biggest gap and the one that is growing.

One note on honesty: a few reviewers say Helium 10 Ads is also included in Platinum now, while others list it as Diamond only. Sources disagree here, so check the feature list on the pricing page. The limits above are the ones most sources agree on.

What Diamond adds

The AI agent and the MCP connector

Helium 10 has been moving fast on AI. Diamond includes Helium, the built-in AI agent, and the Helium 10 MCP connector, which lets you connect your Helium 10 data to an AI assistant like Claude and ask it questions in plain language. MCP access is Diamond only. Platinum has no path to it.

Why does that matter? Because the real cost in Amazon selling isn't the software. It's your time. If an AI can pull your numbers, compare your products and flag what needs attention while you work on something else, that is hours handed back to you every week.

The AI Listing Builder

Your listing is your sales page. The AI Listing Builder, a Diamond feature, helps you write and refine listings built around the keywords buyers actually search. A better listing converts more of the traffic you already have. That is revenue from work you've already paid for.

Deeper advertising and reporting

Diamond gives you more advertising control and reporting. If you spend on Amazon ads, this is where wasted spend gets caught. One note for fairness: reviewers report a small managed ad spend fee on Diamond's advertising tools, so read that line on the pricing page before you rely on it.

Room to grow

More users, more accounts, more tracking, higher limits. You don't need most of it on day one. But a plan you don't outgrow means you never have to stop mid-launch, upgrade under pressure and rebuild your workflow.

The math that Platinum buyers skip

On yearly billing, Diamond costs $180 more per month than Platinum. That sounds like a lot until you ask what it is competing against.

  • A single product choice that goes wrong can cost you far more than the price gap, in inventory, shipping and time.
  • A single keyword you rank for that Platinum's cap would never have let you find can pay for months of the difference.
  • One hour a week saved by the AI tools is about four hours a month. Value your time at anything reasonable and that gap starts to close.

Now compare the two with the current offers. Helium 10's discount through my link takes 30% off for six months. At the yearly Diamond price of $279, that works out to about $195 a month for those six months. Platinum at full yearly price is $99.

So the real gap during that period is closer to $96 a month, and in return you get the AI agent, the MCP connector, the Listing Builder, uncapped keyword research and the room to scale. I'd call that a better deal than the sticker price suggests. Confirm the exact discounted amount at checkout, since billing terms can change what the discount applies to.

Which discount to use

There are two ways to pay less, and they do not stack. Pick one.

  • My link, 30% off for six months. This is automatic when you sign up through the link. It gives you the biggest early saving, which is when you are setting everything up and learning the tools.
  • Code FLEXOBA10, 10% off for as long as you stay subscribed. It is smaller, but it keeps going.

Quick break-even math: 30% for six months is 180 percentage points of discount in total. 10% a month reaches 180 after 18 months. So if you expect to stay past a year and a half, FLEXOBA10 saves you more over time. If you want the strongest start, or you aren't sure you'll stay that long, the link's 30% wins.

Code FLEXOBA20 also exists, for 20% off six months, but the link's 30% beats it, so there is little reason to choose it now.

Who should still choose Platinum

I'd rather tell you this than lose your trust. Independent reviewers consistently say Platinum fits sellers under about $100K a year who work alone and manage ads outside Helium 10. If that is you today, and you want to learn the platform before committing, Platinum is a reasonable place to be.

If you're brand new and unsure, there is also a free plan with limited tools. Start there if you only want a look around.

But if you are reading this article, you probably aren't casually browsing. You're comparing plans, which means you're thinking about building something. For that, I'd start where you won't have to move.

What it was like using it

I used Helium 10 to search for products, and two things stood out. The site was easy to use, so I wasn't hunting through menus to get answers. And the data was complete, so I wasn't left guessing about the gaps. That is exactly what you want from a research tool, because research is where you decide how your money gets spent.

Helium 10 also has a rating of about 4.7 out of 5 from users, which fits what I saw. It isn't perfect, though. Prices went up in 2026, there is a learning curve, and the most useful tools take a few weeks to get comfortable with. Diamond is not a magic button. It is a better set of tools, and you still have to do the work.

FAQs

Is Helium 10 Diamond worth it over Platinum? For sellers who want uncapped keyword research, rank tracking, the AI agent, MCP and room for a team, yes, in my view. For someone testing one product on a tight budget, Platinum can be enough for a while.

What is the difference between Helium 10 Platinum and Diamond? Price, usage limits, team and account access, and the AI features. Diamond is $279 a month billed yearly and Platinum is $99. Diamond adds the AI agent, MCP, the AI Listing Builder and higher limits.

Can Platinum use the Helium 10 MCP? No. MCP is a Diamond feature. There is no add-on that unlocks it on Platinum.

Can I upgrade from Platinum to Diamond later? Yes, but you'd be changing plans in the middle of your work. Starting on Diamond avoids that, though it means paying the higher price from the beginning.

Do the discounts stack? No. The 30% from my link and the codes are separate options. Choose the one that suits how long you plan to stay.

Does Helium 10 have a free trial? There is a free plan with limited tools. A time-limited paid trial is not something I can confirm, so check the pricing page.

Is the annual price worth it? Annual billing lowers the monthly cost, so it saves money if you're sure you'll keep using the tools. Monthly billing gives you more flexibility.

My recommendation

Platinum is the plan for looking. Diamond is the plan for building.

If you're serious about Amazon, start with Diamond. Use the link for 30% off for six months, or FLEXOBA10 if you plan to stay long term. Try it properly for the first month. Run your product research, set up your tracking, use the AI tools. If it doesn't earn its place in your business, don't renew. That costs you very little. But if it does what I expect, you will have saved yourself a plan change and a lot of lost time.
