Where we're headed: price tracking, alerts and a marketplace built for trading up
Hey there,
Quick one from me this week. I wanted to share what's next for FitGPU, so I put it all in one place: our public roadmap is live at fitgpu.com/roadmap. Here are the highlights.
What's live right now
- Real-world benchmarks. Local AI numbers from actual hardware, not spec sheets.
- The new Prices page. GPUs with 12GB+ of VRAM plus DDR4 and DDR5 RAM, all in one list. Take a look at fitgpu.com/prices. If you're pricing out a build, it should save you a pile of open tabs.
- A sponsor page. Sponsorships (from $49/mo) pay for new test hardware so we can cover more AMD and mini PC configs. They never change the benchmarks. See fitgpu.com/sponsor.
What's coming
Prices are where most of our work is going next:
- Price search across the major retailers, followed by the popular smaller shops where the good deals tend to hide.
- Target-price alerts. Pick a card, set your number, and we'll ping you when it gets there.
- eBay auction-ending alerts, so you don't miss a sleeper deal in its last few minutes.
- A weekly price index, a quick read on whether GPU and RAM prices are going up or down.
- Wholesaler and partner deals for the FitGPU community.
Stay tuned: a marketplace built for trading up
This is the one I'm most excited about. We're building a FitGPU marketplace where you can buy, sell and trade hardware with other local AI builders.
The big idea is the trade. Most of us aren't buying our first GPU. We already have a card that's almost enough. So instead of selling it on one site and hunting for an upgrade on another, you'll be able to put your current hardware toward the card you actually need. The upgrade gets cheaper, and your old card goes to someone it's a real step up for.
It isn't ready yet. You'll hear about it here first.
Help us test more hardware
Got a GPU or mini PC running Ollama? Our free benchmark kit takes a few minutes, shows you exactly what it sends, and adds your rig to the site. Grab it at fitgpu.com/submit.
Tell me what you think
Hit reply and tell me what you'd use first. Is it alerts, the price index, or the marketplace? What retailers or shops should we track? I read every reply, and they really do shape what we build next.
Thanks for being here,
