When Sins Rise Up (announcements for September 5)
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately, our order of Psalter-Hymnals has been quite delayed. There is no word yet on when copies from the next printing will be ready to ship. In the meantime, some of you have mentioned that you are enjoying the app for your iPhone or iPad.
Personally, I have been using the Psalter in my own morning worship. Today, I sang through Psalm 65A, which includes these lines:
When sins rise up against us, accusing every day
you pardon our transgressions and wash our sins away.
This is the good news of the Gospel! Since our sin is with us every day, and Satan is always using it to accuse us, God’s promise of forgiveness through Christ should on our minds and hearts every day too.

The Lord’s Day
Sunday school is at 9:45am. We are starting a new series of lessons on the Westminster Confession. This week’s lesson is on chapter 1, “Of Holy Scripture.”
The morning service is at 11:00am. We will observe the Lord’s Supper during the morning service.

Through the Week
Tuesday Bible Study resumes this week at 10:30am, at church and on Zoom. We are in Nehemiah 9.
Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, at church and on Zoom.
Announcements for the Ladies
Ladies Coffee and Dessert Night: Friday, September 10th at 7 pm at the church. Join us for great fellowship. If you have been doing the summer reading, bring some thoughts to share from the book “I’m praying for you.” Looking forward to seeing you.
Ladies Fall Bible Study will begin on Thursday, September 16 at 7 pm via Zoom. Joy Loh will be distributing the books this Sunday (5 Sept). We will be using the book The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis by Nancy Guthrie. Please mark your calendars and make plans to join this exciting and profitable study.
Wedding Reception
Please join us in celebrating Jeff and Lydia Bergman in a West Coast Wedding Reception! This will take place the Lord willing on September 25th, 2021 at the Lemen residence (18859 McFarland Ave, Saratoga). Appetizers will be served at 4pm, and dinner at 5pm.
