Last week, I shared some of our plans for Vacation Bible School, and hinted at some new ideas for our older kids. Today, we're ready to share the whole plan with you all, and we're very excited.

VBS for ages 4-10

We are offering Vacation Bible School for kids aged 4-10. This year's theme is "Upward Bound!" which is a mountainous journey through the Gospel of Luke, following the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

As in past years, VBS will be held at the church building, 9am-12pm Monday to Friday, July 28 - August 1. There will be Bible stories, songs, games, crafts, snacks, friends, and more.

Teens Bible Camp for ages 11-14

New this year is our Teens Bible Camp. This ministry for older kids and youth will run at the same time as VBS, at a nearby park. The timing should work out so that drop-off and pick-up are manageable for families with kids in both programs.

The camp will be held at Las Palmas Park (850 Russet Drive in Sunnyvale), from 8:45 - 11:45am Monday to Friday, July 28 - August 1. There will be activities, food, and important and relevant Bible lessons as well as personal discussions.

The focus will be hearing and discussing what the Bible says about our identity and purpose. Who are we, and why are we here? Do I have worth and value? How should I think about work, rest, and relationships? Why should I have hope for the future? Thankfully, God's Word has much to say about these vitally important questions.
