God’s Sovereign Prerogative (Announcements for 7 August)
Hi Everyone,
Mr. Jonathan Bartlett reminded us on Wednesday night of our need for humility in light of God’s sovereign prerogative in choosing some and not others. God chose Jacob the younger, rather than Esau, his older twin, to be the object of his grace and to continue the covenant line, not because of merit, but only on the basis of His good pleasure (Romans 9:10-13). May this encourage us to live in faith by His Spirit and also to be witnesses of His grace to others.
Sincerely,
Elder Lemen
