Complete in Him (announcements for October 24)
Hi everyone,
Here are this week's announcements. But first, a few words about this week's Bible reading plan (by the way, here is the Adults' Version, and the Kids' Version)
This week our Old Testament reading is the story of Joseph. Kids, have you ever fought with your brothers and sisters? I bet you've never had a fight like Joseph had with his brothers!
Joseph started out with a royal robe, but then found himself in a hole in the ground. Amazingly, he went from there to a throne where he ruled over the nations and provided for his family.
There is so much to learn and enjoy in this story, but don't miss the glimmer of another king who was stripped of his robes and laid in the ground, but came out to sit on a throne and provide his people with everything they could need.
In fact, the main message of the book of Colossians is that in Christ we have everything we need: we are "complete in him" (as the KJV translates 2:10).
Sincerely,
Pastor Goligher
