Announcements for 9 April
Hi Everyone,
Happy Resurrection Sunday. Every Sunday is resurrection Sunday, but in keeping with the season, Pastor Goligher has considered different Bible texts during the morning sermons to examine the importance of the cross.
Next Sunday, 16 April will be Fellowship Lunch. An email will be sent soon to the clean-up team responsible. Also, note that next Sunday will be the last for the Bartletts before they move to Hughson, CA.
Housekeeping note: the cold water of the left sink in the kitchen is now filtered. Thus, we no longer need to use the Brita water containers for drinking water.
Sincerely,
Elder Lemen

Looking Ahead
Foreign Missions Conference: You are invited to Trinity Presbyterian North Bay in Petaluma, on Saturday April 22, from 10am-3pm. One of our OPC missionaries to China will be present to share about his work in building God's kingdom in a country that is firmly closed to the Gospel. To get the details, and to register, go to www.pncnopc.org/foreign-missions
Associate Pastor Candidate: The session invited Mr. Nathaniel Vroom to be a candidate for the position of associate pastor, and he has accepted. Tentatively, Mr. Vroom is scheduled to fill our pulpit on April 30 and May 7. We will also plan some other opportunities for the church family to meet and interact with Mr. Vroom and his family.
Church Picnic in the Park: Rescheduled for Saturday, 6 May 2023 at 11 am in Fairwood Park, Sunnyvale. Box lunches will be provided and we will reopen the RSVP option next month.
Presbytery Summer Bible Camp: June 19-23 at Redwood Christian Park. You can now sign up on the presbytery website: https://www.pncnopc.org/presbytery-summer-bible-camp/
Church camping: A group from the church will be camping at Sanborn County Park, from Friday June 9th to Saturday June 10th. You are welcome to come! Please speak to Scott Porter if you would like to join, or if you have any questions.
For those who want to camp, we have reserved the Group Campsite that can host 35 campers.
It is important to note that it is a 0.4mi walk-in to the site so bringing a wagon or cart is recommended
Bikes are not allowed in the campground
Gates are closed at sunset and there is no re-entry after gates close
For the campsite check-in is at 3pm on 6/9 and checkout is 1pm on 6/10
The campsite has one large grill, a food box, three picnic tables, a few fire rings, and a couple benches
Campers will probably go on a short hike Saturday morning.
After camping, we are planning to transition to the Ohlone Group Area for a picnic starting around 11am. Everyone from the church is invited to attend whether you were part of the camping or not.
There is a $6 entrance fee to the park
To RSVP for the camping and/or picnic, please send an email to Scott Porter (s.p.porter@icloud.com). You can also send any questions by email.
