Announcements for 4 June
Hi Everyone,
We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper during morning worship service. An offering will be received for the work of the deacons during the sing of the closing hymn.
Session has called for a special meeting of the congregation on Wednesday, 7 June 2023 at 7 pm for the purpose of extending a call to Nathaniel Vroom to serve as associate pastor.
Youth – see the note below about your next gathering on 23 June 2023.

The Lord’s Day
Sunday school this week is at 9:45 am.
The children’s Sunday school meets in two classes, both using Great Commissions Publications curricula.
Adult Sunday School Class. Pastor Goligher will start a new class, a study of the kings of the Old Testament, starting with King Saul and his family.
The morning service is at 11:00 am. The sermon will be "Marriage Held in Honor" from Hebrews 13:4.
The evening service is at 5:00 pm. The sermon will be “False Religion" from 1 Kings 18:20-29.
Through the Week
Prayer Meeting on Wednesday is cancelled. Instead, at 6 pm you are invited to a taco bar supper. If you do not ordinarily attend, please RSVP with Pastor Goligher so that we can plan accordingly. The special meeting of the congregation will be at 7:00 pm. There will not be a Zoom link this week.
Ladies’ Summer Reading using Mark Jones’ Faith, Hope, Love begins Monday, 5 June with Question 18. See Joy Loh or Julie Lemen if you need a copy of the book and see Christy Majchrowicz for a copy of the reading schedule.
Park days for moms and kids on Thursdays 10 am at Washington Park in Sunnyvale every week during the summer. If you have any questions, speak to Betsie Porter.
Church camping: at Sanborn County Park, Friday June 9th to Saturday June 10th. Those of you who are camping should already have reserved your spot with Scott Porter. But all are welcome to join the group on Saturday at 11 am at the Ohlone Group Area for lunch. Bring your own food. There is a $6 park entrance fee.
Looking Ahead
Youth fellowship: On Friday, June 23, the youth are invited to Elliott's house for dinner and fun activities. Please also bring questions about the book of Isaiah!

Fall Bible Conference: On Saturday and Sunday September 9-10, we will have a guest preacher, Dr. Craig Carter, a theologian and minister in Ontario. The theme of the weekend will be "Isaiah's Message for the Modern World." Dr. Carter will also lead two pre-conference events related to C.S. Lewis's book The Abolition of Man.
