The Lord’s Day
Sunday school is at 9:45 am. Foundations Class starts this week with Pastor Goligher. In the adult class we start a short series on the topic of prayer.
The children’s Sunday school (9:45 am) meets in two classes, both using Great Commissions Publications curricula.
The morning service is at 11:00 am. The sermon will be "Seek Ye First" from 1 Kings 3:1-15.
The evening service is at 5:00 pm. The sermon will be “No Excuse" from Romans 1:18-22.
Through the Week
Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday evening at 7:15 pm, at church and on Zoom.
Ladies’ Bible Study is on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm via Zoom. This week the study in Nancy Guthrie’s book “The Lamb of God” will be on “Sacrifice and Sanctification” (Leviticus). Read the Teaching Chapter (pgs. 197-211) and complete the discussion questions on pages 212-213.
Men's Book Study is on Thursday evening at 8:15 pm via Zoom. This week will be Chapter 11 of “Knowing Sin” by Mark Jones.
Fellowship Lunch is 23 October
The October Fellowship Lunch is this Sunday, 23 October. Please plan to bring a main dish and a salad or dessert to share with others. The Harvey/Hernandez team is in charge of cleanup.
Practice Hymn Singing
Join us at 3:30 pm on Sunday in the Fellowship Hall to practice singing hymns and Psalms from the Trinity Psalter Hymnal.
Looking Ahead
New format for Wednesday Prayer Meeting
Starting Wednesday, 2 November we will try out a new format for our mid-week prayer meeting. At 6 pm, there will be a shared meal for all who would like to join. At 7:15 pm we will have our usual Bible study and prayer time. During that time, there will be an activity for children up to about 6 years old. We will aim to be done at about 8:15pm. Please let Pastor Goligher know if you are planning to join for dinner.
Youth games night
On Friday 4 November the youth are invited for pizza dinner and a games night at Elliott Van Hartingsveldt’s house. Dinner will be at 6 pm.
CityTeam Volunteer opportunity on 17 December
The church has an upcoming volunteer opportunity with CityTeam on 17 December, 9 am-12 pm to provide Warehouse Support for food packaging at 1297 North 13th Street, San Jose, CA 95112. Christmas Eve service
On Friday 24 December at 5 pm we will hold a Christmas Eve service of Scripture lessons and Christmas carols. Mark your calendars and plan to invite friends and family!
