Announcements for 14 August
Hi Everyone,
A big “thank you” to all the VBS volunteers! We had a great week with about 60 children. It was good to see relationships grow among the children and with the adult volunteers. We pray that our VBS week will be a continuing spiritual blessing to the children and their families.
We will observe the Lord’s Supper this Sunday during the morning worship service. And we will receive an offering for the work of the Deacons during the singing of the final hymn.

The Lord’s Day
Sunday school is at 9:45 am. In adult Sunday school class we are looking at the history of the Presbyterian church in America.
The children’s Sunday school during the summer is surveying the book of Genesis.
The morning service is at 11:00 am. The sermon will be "The Bread of Life" from John 6:53.
The evening service is at 5:00 pm. The sermon will be “The Remnant" from Micah 5:7-15.
Through the Week
Park Day is on Wednesday at 10 am at Fairwood Park in Sunnyvale. Contact Christy Majchrowicz if you have questions.
Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, at church and on Zoom.
Men's Bible Study will resume on Thursday evening at 8:15 pm via Zoom. Please see Matt Loh to get a copy of the book, “Knowing Sin” by Mark Jones.
Ladies’ Summer Reading Plan: This week is Chapters 14 & 15 of “Faith. Hope. Love.” by Mark Jones.

Fellowship Lunch
The Fellowship Lunch for August will be next Sunday, 21 August. Please bring a main dish and a salad or desert to share.
Women’s Retreat
This year’s women’s retreat will be held on October 15, 2022 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Pleasanton with Dr. Jonathan Master, the President of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, speaking on the topic of “Growing in Grace.” For more information and to register, please see the Women’s Retreat event page.
